Swap your heroes and defeat an onslaught of enemies! A turn-based puzzle game where you strategically position your heroes to defeat enemies! Use your heroes' special abilities to improve your chances of winning!

This game is basically a clone of another mobile game from many years ago, "Swap Heroes" by Chris Savory, which I really liked. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it on the App Store anymore, so I thought I could make a simpler, free web version using Godot.

This project took me about 6 months of on-and-off development in the evenings (approx. 1 hour every other day). There's a lot of features I wish I could have implemented but I didn't want to spend too much time polishing the game perpetually without ever knowing if anyone else would like it, so here it is.

If you like the game and would like to see a more polished version of it, please leave a comment, or donate, or both! I'd really appreciate your support.

I hope you enjoy the game!

Really enjoyed the gameplay loop. Wasn't 100% sure what the female character was suppose to do. Enjoyed the pace at which new enemies were added. The difficulty curve was well thought out!

Thank you for playing! The female character is the healer. I should have included a tutorial that explains every hero's ability. I'll be mindful of that for my next game! :)

Just saw the game on Tumblr and had to come to try out the demo. Really liked it, very well done and it seems to capture the original essence pretty well. All I would have asked for is some sort of info menu that shows me how the characters attack, I figured it out through trial and error but could have saved a run at the beginning haha.

Thank you so much for playing the game! You're right, an info menu would have helped a lot with the onboarding process. I had spent pretty much 80% of my time working on the core mechanics of the game that I'm too familiar with it, and forgot that new players have no idea how the heroes/enemies behave. I probably won't update this game anymore, but I'll definitely keep this aspect in mind for my future games :) Thank you again!

what a fun little game. Great job

Thank you!! Hope you enjoyed it :)
